MISHERR的另一個天地

Owing to the bad weather followed typoon, we were staying at home for whole 2 days.

Only watching TV, playing Wii, eating, sleeping... and doing all over again!

So, I was all fed up with this boring situation!! And my son also wanted to

try out his insect catching net, a gift from 巧連智.

Then, I just rise and said to my son... let's go get some insects.

I grabed my S9600 and car key, then here we go.....

Actually, I do not know where to go at first, then my son suggested why not going to

Grass Mountain(陽明山)?

Well, that's not a bad idea.  Set and here we go!!!

I took the road from behind Culture University. As I thought it would be a nice place to

take picture from the high point behind the new gym of the University.

The weather is quite nice when we set off, and all the way to the Mountain.

Along the road, there was a turn with quite nice trees. 

So, I parked the car and bring my  camera; Ethan assembled his net, instruction book,

observation box..etc.. Except the net, I have to carry all other stuffs.

We walked deep into the woods, the air is fresh(after the rain and wind,

definitely good!!). 

Ethan walked along the trail, I looked around the enviroments and search for

any scenery that I can test my camera in the open.

Only a few noises in the woods, birds, cicadas, frogs.... and some butterflies

here and there.

But Ethan is too slow to catch the butterflies, and I got not much views to shot at. 

So, I just took a picture of him, and the greens....

However, when we were ready to leave, I saw a bird high on the tree top singing.

I thought is would be a good chance to try out the zooming function. 

So, I took the picture of  the singing bird.  The distance is really very far,

I zoomed in to the maximum.     And the picture still not clear

or maybe my skill is till at rookie level!!

OK! I selected only 5M pix. and AUTO function!!

It is a little boring here, so, we continue our trip!!

When reaching THE high point, I parked the car on a safe position.

We both came out to watch the beautiful view of Taipei basin, the 101, the river....

Of course, I took pictures here, it seems the zooming function is acting quite good!!

After this stop!! We moved on!

I was thinking of going to our survival game play ground - 陽明一號.

But,  I decided to turn into the No.2 parking lot of the Grass Mountain when

I saw very little cars in there.

We walked along the trail behind the parking lot, hope to catch some stuff..

or any insect!!!

Unfortunately, we only saw lots of, lots of mosquito!!!

I decided to call it a day, and walking back to my car.

Then, SHAZAM!!, the magic thing happened!

I saw a green cicada stop on a tree leave, it was an excellent opportunity!!

I asked Ethan to handed me the net, then walked quitely toward the cicada...

Very fast!! I hit my net, then something dropped on the ground!

I was not that green cicada, but another larger one! What a surprise!!

Ethan was so excited when I opened the net and handed him the cicada.

He immediately put it into the bottle to observe the catch.  Unfortunately,

the bottle is  too small for this cicada.

We accidently bend it's wing!!

It seems this cicada also aware of the fact that it can not fly.  It just walk along Ethan's hand

and arm.

This is the most interesting trip during this boring typoon days!!!

This cicada is still alive in my home!!!

During this trip, I think I still need to do more practices in handling this exquisite camera!!!

It a good camera, I appreciate James introduced it to me!!!
